My name is Evan Kirkpatrick and I am the founder of Draft Green Room. Before starting this site, I covered sports for my local newspaper and wrote for numerous websites and publications. I have had hundreds of articles and columns published over the past five years.

I have been covering the NFL Draft since the early part of the decade. I love reading and watching the various events leading up to the Draft, including the Senior Bowl, Pro Days, the Combine, and of course the actual College Football games. I want people to be as interested in the Draft as I am, and I hope this site will help make that happen.

While the NFL Draft takes place over the course of one weekend per year, teams and analysts do months of research in preparation of it. Every team plays a part, regardless of whether they finished 3-13 or 13-3. The Draft dictates the future of the NFL. The teams that draft well often do better than the teams that just spend a lot of money on free agents. One pick can affect a franchise for the next fifteen years.

This site contains a mock draft, player rankings, and a blog. All will be updated on a regular basis. The blog will contain stories and my opinions pertaining to the various prospects, the hot rumors, team news, and pretty much anything else that has to do with professional and collegiate football.
